WILTED LETTUCE SALAD
A classic family recipe featuring crisp iceberg lettuce with a tangy cold dressing. The lettuce wilts naturally in the refrigerator, creating a unique texture and allowing the flavors to meld together beautifully.
All quantities subject to taste.
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 4 hard boiled eggs (or so), chopped
- 1 cup Miracle Whip
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Step 1 — Chop the head of iceberg lettuce and place in a large bowl.
Step 2 — Chop the hard boiled eggs and add to the lettuce.
Step 3 — In a separate bowl, whisk together the Miracle Whip, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and spicy brown mustard until well combined.
Step 4 — Season the dressing with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5 — Pour the dressing over the lettuce and eggs. Toss to coat evenly.
Step 6 — Refrigerate until ready to serve. The lettuce will wilt naturally in the fridge, allowing the flavors to develop.
